Life. Whoa. It's busy. And good. But mostly really busy. I feel like I just got back from Rome (which I did, on Monday), and already, I'll be leaving for Madrid tomorrow morning! Not only will I be spending time with IES friends Alex and Leah, but I'll be seeing Shelby (from home, now in Bordeaux), Lisi (from SCU, now in Granada), and maybe Katie (SCU, now in Barcelona). Oh, and this decent lil' band known as the Arcade Fire...
eeeeeeeeee.
Between travels (I'll try to write about Rome later tonight), and the 5 million papers/presentations/tests that I have within a two-week period, I really need to catch up on sleep and with you all! Therefore, here are some pictures to illustrate my life recently:
Halloween in Salamanca: not even a Spanish holiday, but will they celebrate it for four days straight anyways? Of course! I was a hippie (and by a hippie, I mean a person wearing a bright shirt with a scarf tied around her head - muy creativa, I know), and Leah's a pirate.
We went horseback riding a while ago. I can't remember exactly how long ago it was, or if I mentioned it before, but I just found this picture. Best part of the trip was the fact that as always, I was assigned to the really aggressive horse (don't know why this always happens to me), so essentially throughout the entire trip, my horse just kept biting everyone else's horses.
The bus ride to Toledo a few weekends ago gave me such pretty sunrise views. Ahh.
The ceiling in a monastery in Toledo. Cool looking on its own, but also very trippy looking if you scroll up and down...
Oh, we went to a sword factory in Toledo, too. The factory wasn't as cool as I thought it was going to be, but then we got to play with swords!
For the record, no, I did not hurt myself at all during this trip, despite the dangerous weapons (the most dangerous of all being myself, some might say).
Oh, I love this photo of Amanda and Evan.
Throughout all of my travels, I've managed to get a collection of photo themes in various places. One of them is Places Where Katie Sleeps (buses, trains, benches, beaches, etc.). This photo, however, is the most recent edition of So-artsy-I-lean-against-a-wall Album Covers.
Toledo is right alongside this beautiful river and a gorgeous river canyon. It reminded me of Auburn. I love hills and trees.
Welcome to Spain.
