Gar.

Oh, dear. I have a 101-degree fever, according to the doctor's office here. What I thought was a headache this morning turned into coughing all throughout my last Econ class, which then led to a nap on the uncomfortable IES Center couches. Finally, my friend Sarah was feeling just as bad as I was, so we both decided to head to the doctor's office - making good decisions and whatnot...

It's bad enough being sick, but tomorrow night, Alex and I were supposed to leave for the Basque Country, since we have a six-day weekend. We had a bunch of problems getting our plans together, since our other trips delayed the planning opportunities, but as of Monday, we finally had solidified our plans to head to San Sebastian and then to Pamplona. And I was really excited. Not to mention, this is the last travel opportunity we have before the program ends. (I know, I still have two weeks of straight traveling after that, but still...)

However, this has provided me with a real-life Spanish experience: surviving the doctor's office using only Spanish!

Also, it didn't end up snowing apart from a few flakes here. Slight disappointment, but I'm still holding out hope for snow before I leave.

On a cheerier note, being confined to the bed has allowed me to catch up a bit on The Daily Show. Also, I finally had the chance to watch a stand-up show by the comedian Demetri Martin called If I, which is probably 45 minutes long but worth watching on YouTube if you've got the chance.

Plan for the night: sleeping and Christmas music.
