Yes, this is a massive accomplishment for me: today (Saturday), I actually went outside for the first time since early Wednesday. Needless to say, I was excited, after three whole days spent inside, essentially surviving on only orange juice with honey and medicine, to see the real world again - as cold and cloudy as it might be right now.
Apparently, Thursday night, my temperature made it up to 104 degrees (pretty hardcore, no?), but Basa was so worried that she checked on me multiple times throughout the night to make sure that I was still alive... Based on this experience alone, I am so glad to be in a homestay instead of the residence halls because Basa has been the best, and I would have been miserable, especially this weekend (the second most popular weekend to travel in the country).
So, despite a cough that sounds like the black plague or something, I am alive! And I think I'll be able to enjoy the weekend tomorrow because Sarah and I are planning to head into Madrid .... to see Harry Potter!
